Jalie’s Coco sports bra

by Elsa

Jalie released its new collection last week. 13 great patterns ranging from sportwear to casualwear.

I will show you the Coco sport bra.

It was so hard not to tell you the wonderful patterns we were testing!!!

The Coco pattern

I love how you get all the sizes in one pattern, from the tiny nugget to the most curvy lady.

The bra has two backs. I decided to sew the racer back.

The front has nice seams that allow some playing with fabrics. My fabric had stripes on the middle, but was solid on the edges. Perfect to add a bit of fun to my bra.

Clear elastic helps maintaining tension around the neckline and the armscyes.

The underbust elastic is quite large and really maintains the bust. The way it is sewn was new to me and I greatly enjoyed it.

My sports bra

You will need stretchy fabrics like lycra or any fabric with lycra or supplex.

I had swimsuit lycra from Tissus Lolie Shop and I used my beloved Airtex from Tia Knight for the lining.

The bra is doubly lined. 2 layers of Airtex are on the sides so that you can insert foam cups.

I can assure you that these layers really hold everything in place. I started HIIT at home during the lock-in and nothing moved!

This bra is also really comfy. I sometimes have headaches with racer backs. I think the clear elastic doesn’t create the kind of tension other stronger elastics do.
