Another Celeste sweater! I loved the first one so much that I couldn’t stop knitting a second one.
My first one was in rather muted tones, but this time, I went with brighter colors.
I also slightly modified stuff.
Minor alterations compared to the first Celeste
If you want to read about Celeste’s features, you can read everything in this article.
I used Drops Karisma yarn once again.
Here’s the list of the colors I knitted:
- 39-Pink (*9 for a size M)
- 66-Light pink (*1)
- 72-Light grey (*1)
- 45-Light olive green (*1)
- 79-Lemon yellow (*1)
Beware of the 39-Pink when wet-blocking, I had some color discharge while soaking.
I printed the diagram and played a bit with my pencils to organize my colors.
I did some minor modifications. I went with twisted 1*1 ribbing instead of 1*1 ribbing. I prefer having my collar and cuffs tight.
A new Celeste for fall
This project went rather quick since I had already knitted one and knew the tricks:
- Italian cast-on and bind-off
- Double knitting
- Top-down knitting
- Ribbing
- Colorwork
I still need Youtube help for having gap-free armholes!
This tutorial is the best IMO.
I’m a bit disappointed by my chocie of colors. I thought they would be more vibrant, but they’re not. That’s the problem when buying online.
