Back to our patterns.
I chose to sew the Raindrop Tee along with a Lazy Days Lounge Pants (Jess kindly offered me the latter).
I decided to step out of my comfort zone by 1. choosing colors I had never chosen before 2. modifying a pattern a bit.
The Raindrop Tee underwent some alterations. I cut a size 8, shortened front and back a bit and added some stretchy black lace along with NEON PINK knit (ok, it looks coral rather than neon pink…). I also lengthened the sleeves to get a ruche look by simply sewing elastic on them. Use a zig-zag stitch while pulling your elastic and voila, easy-peasy!
The neckline is really feminine and gracefully shows the neck. I love it!
The Lazy Days Lounge Pants are the quickest pants I’ve ever sewn!!! I chose to add a touch of pink to the pockets, waistband and cuffs. They are extremely comfy (so she said!!). I used some French terry I had bought (and forgotten…!).
And do not forget to have a look at the other bloggers’ works! They all are lovely and fun!
