One stripey Origami tunic

A few weeks ago, there was an awesome sale at Love Notions: 50% off all the patterns, but the Sloane. I happily bought some I had had in mind for a long time and here is the first one I sewed: the Origami Tunic for Miss G.

It’s a pattern full of possibilities: sleeveless and various sleeve lengths, 3 cowl options, and you can mix fabrics for the hem. So you can sew Origami tunics for the four seasons. And it’s such a quick sew.

Since it was a test-run, I used some lightweight stripey knit I had bought last summer from Lolie-shop and I was pretty sure that the cowl version would please miss G. I did a straight size 12 and, apart from sleeves that are a bit long, it is the right size for her.

My plan now is to cut into the “good” fabric, one she really loves and to make her another lovely Origami tunic. I might change the cowl , I’ll have to ask her! But first things first, I have to finish cutting faux fur for her upcoming play…fur, fur, everywhere…!!!
