Itch to Stitch patterns for fall

ITS or “Itch to Stitch“. You may have notcied how much I love ITS patterns due to the number of Kennis’ patterns I’ve tested. Her patterns are by far my favorite because I know what I need to adjust to fit my body and instructions are detailed enough that even with a new technique, you finish with a great garment.

Temperature dropped a bit, but it’s cold enough to wear heavy coats. I decided to write a small round-up of my favorite ITS patterns for the season.

Jacqueline hoodie

My very first test for ITS! I had been attracted to the off-centered zipper and the front buttons.

I had had troubles with my too firm interfacing (practice makes perfect!).

This jacket was nicknamed ‘BumbleBee’ because of the Transformer colors…! The Jacqueline Hoodie has welt pockets so that had been wuite a thing then.

Perfect over a pair of jeans, when the mornings are crisp, but not enough to wear a wool coat.

Hvar jacket

Let’s continue with the Hvar jacket.

Out of lightweight woollen fabric (more about it).

Fronts are cascading. It’s an unlined jacket.

Envigado vest

One of my favorite pieces. I loved sewing the Envigado. I enjoyed taking the time to prepare my sewing, sourcing my notions to match the fabric, using the Hong-Kong finish for the SA, and having the inside as nice as the outside. I had no real pressure, except having it finished for the blogtour.

Atenas jacket

Another great piece. A demanding test, but once again Kennis’ instructions made things easy.

Atenas Jacket, La Casa Cactus

A cotton gabardine from Ma Petite Mercerie that really was a breeze to sew and jean buttons that were a perfect match.

Atenas is a stale undoubtedly and can be worn over a shirt or under a heavier/loose coat.

In the near future, more Itch to Stitch outerwears

My plan is to sew the La Paz, ITS blazer. I’ve had this pattern since it was released, but I haven’t found the time to source the fabric I want. I only know that I need it since it’s also a staple in a wardrobe. The only thing I’m sure of is that I will use the Hong-King finish on its SA!

What are your favorite outerwears, be them ITS or not?
