Disneyworld Chronicles, Day 5: Disney’s Hollywood Studios

by Elsa

(Disneyworld Chronicles, Day 4). Today was supposed to be our only day in Disney’s Hollywood Studios because I had read that this was a one-day park only…but we did enjoy it so much, we spent quite a number of hours and multiple days in it!!!

Disney's Hollywood Studios

As usual we were there at rope-drop. It was a bit chilly, but the day proved to be wonderful with a beautiful sky.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

Our plan was to do Rock’NRoller Coaster at rope-drop since we didn’t secure a FP+.

Disney's Hollywood StudiosLater, my beauty….!

We went down the alley…to find that it was down…You know I’m not a big fan of coasters, byt my goal was to try them once at least. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the chance to try it since its rehab’ was starting Oct.27 and we weren’t so keen on doing a 70-min stand-by line. So long, Aerosmith!

We then had a go at The Great Movie Ride. I wasn’t so sure the kids would enjoy it, but they did, especially the CM’s acting!!!

Disney's Hollywood Studios

We couldn’t miss this oppotunity!!!

It was time for our Toy Story Midway Mania‘s FP. Oh, I’m eager to discover the new Toy Story area later. It’s already cute, but I’m sure I’ll be totally addicted to the new one. TSMM was a big hit with our family and a wonderful lady gave us a paper FP she had no use of so we managed to have a 2nd tour on TSMM that day. A sprinkle of Pixie Dust!

Disney's Hollywood Studios

We grabbed churros on our way to Star Wars Launch Bay, the place to be for the boys in our family!!! Even Miss G enjoyed it.

She was in awe of Kylo-Ren…so was I. Only my husband was a Rebel (and he was proud of it!!!).

Disney's Hollywood Studios

Chewie was just huge!!! It was such a nice Meet’N’Greet.

But the best for Miss G was her encounter with the Jawas! They got really interested in my backpack’s multiple shiny zippers!!!

Disney's Hollywood Studios

Now it was high time we went and conquer the Tower of Terror…Miss G was really keen on doing it, she even told me that she would hold my hand!

Disney's Hollywood StudiosI’m not at my best in this picture LOL

We thought it would be fun to meet Olaf himself.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

We had lunch at ABC Commissary. We enjoyed it before the rush hour so it was really pleasant to sit and discuss our plan. With a dining reservation at Sci-Fi Dine-in around 6PM so we had some time to kill beforehands.

We had a go at Star Tours…actually we had a lot of go’s at Star Tours, our favorite ride!!!

Disney's Hollywood Studios

We also had a look at the Indiana Jones’ Stunt show. I had fond memories of it, but I really didn’t enjoy it that time.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

Someone in our group was keen on going there. Easy to make out who it was and what show we would be attending!!!!

Disney's Hollywood Studios

Frozen was a big hit…with me!!!

Disney's Hollywood StudiosWe then saw Capt. Phasma and her Troopers, to the delight of the Teenager and my husband (it was scorching hot there!).

We then meandered through the shops then had dinner at Sci-Fi’s. We were a bit disappointed: the food was so-so, it was really dark in there etc.

When we went out, it was almost dark and it was so lovely seeing the buildings lit.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

We had secured a FP for Fantasmic, but were a bit late to get good seats so our view wasn’t excellent…too bad, we couldn’t get a 2nd viewing of it during our stay. We managed to see a bit of the Star Wars fireworks afterwards.

Disney's Hollywood Studios

My favorite character! She’s so lovely.

We called it a day after a last shop-tour.

Our Halloween Party was scheduled the next day…We were excited!
