A Beausoleil crop top

by Elsa

Beausoleil was a top I tested for Itch to Stitch quite a long time ago. I made two for myself (here and there).

This time, my daughter is the happy one to be sewn for, with that cute poplin from Art Gallery Fabrics.

Funny little foxes

A fabric with a childish theme, a pattern that is more mature, isn’t it the epitome of teenage, being pulled between both stages of life?

We started with a size 00 and it’s still wide. We left the flounce out to get a crop top. She had a very good idea with that and she also wanted a boxy shape.

The cold shoulders are the main feature and she loves them so much! I made her quite a number of cold-shoulders tops over the years, the last one being the Prague (another Itch to Stitch pattern!).

This top is not very difficult to sew. You just need time because of all the understitching of the facings for the neckline and shoulder cuts.

I finished said facings with this method I shot for my Youtube channel.

Tell me if you would be interested in videos in English (or subtitled in English).

We skipped the center back zipper. The neckline is wide enough for her to get her head through..
